Admissions

Acceptance to Morning Song is based on several elements, including age eligibility, the family and child's fit with the educational philosophy, the child's capacity to adapt to self-directed activities and to collaborate with others in a small class environment, and current openings. Admissions are accepted year round with the initial enrollment period for the following school year to begin in March of each calendar year. We require that potential students complete a no-cost trial day to ensure a mutual understanding and agreement on the goals of the program and the fit with the student and family.

The priority for enrollment and wait-list is as follows:

Priority #1 - Current Students

Priority #2 - Siblings of Current Students

Priority #3 - All Other Applicants /5-day enrollments given priority

Behavior and temperament considerations: As a small program with a flexible and changing environment, we lack the resources currently to meet the needs of children with serious behavioral challenges, or those who experience great struggles with changes in routine. Children need to be physically able to spend extended time outdoors in various weather, capable of walking moderate distances, and carrying and being responsible for their backpacks and supplies throughout the day. Children must demonstrate a desire to participate and stay with the group throughout the day, and be capable of listening to and taking directions from adults, and accepting input from peers, particularly regarding safety and consent. Please keep in mind these guidelines and the limitations of our program when deciding whether or not to apply.

Tuition Information

Tuition for Morning Song can be paid annually or in monthly payments over the 12-month school year. We offer a 10% discount on tuition paid annually/upfront and a 10% sibling discount. A $90.00 annual supply fee will be charged at the time of admission. Tuition is due by the 5th of each month. Payments by check are preferred. Rates are as follows:

Explorers, ages *3.5-6 yrs. Mondays & Wednesdays 9:00 am - 11:30 am : $2,280 per year / $190 per month over 12 months. ( $2,052 with discount if paid annually in advance)

*Explorers must be fully independent with toileting at the time of enrollment

Adventurers, ages 7-10 yrs. & Trailblazers, ages 11 yrs+,

Mondays & Wednesdays 9:00 am - 11:30 am: $3,360 per year / $280 per month over 12 months. ( $3,024with discount if paid annually in advance)

Ages 9yrs + with Applied Skills Outdoor Lab: Fridays, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm: $4,480 over 12 months / $373.00 per month over 12 months. ( $4,032 with discount if paid annually in advance)

Friday Outdoor Skills Lab is not offered as a stand-alone program, students must be enrolled in our M/W program to participate in the Outdoor Skills lab.

Morning Song School operates a year-round school year program. We do not offer seasonal enrollment or a drop-in program for school-aged children. Our program is 100% funded by tuition. We ask for 30 days notice of intent to withdraw from the program so that we may promptly alert families on our waiting list to an opening. In the case of discontinuation without notice, or dismissal from the school for any reason, an early withdrawal fee for one month’s tuition will be applied. If you paid the full year’s tuition upfront, a refund for the months following your child’s departure, minus the early withdrawal fee will be issued.

Enrollment Step #2

Submit initial application form along with $50 application fee. Fee may be paid online or by check (check preferred), and set up trial week for your child. Click below to access forms.

Enrollment Step #3

Once admission has been approved, submit completed enrollment packet forms & required payment. Depending upon the enrollment period, payment will be either $100 to hold a spot or the first months tuition if starting immediately. Payments can be made online or by check (check preferred)
